Do you want Sand or do you want some snow this Christmas?

General Talk About Vacations

Now here comes that White Christmas, you know the one that you have been waiting for.. Not for all of us? It would seem that lately people are more interested in the warmth that Christmas brings, not just to our hearts (Ahhh) but also to our bodies.

Baking in the sun seems to be the new thing at Christmas, so no longer is Snow the king of the Christmas period, soon it will be forgotten. The Christmas period brings with it offers on holidays across the world. But this time, the tourists of the world want to go on these warm holidays, instead of enjoying the snow. Christmas holiday sales are already up this year, and many of you are looking for locations like St Lucia or Barbados.

When you browse through these holidays, and where they are, you will be shocked at the cost, they are very cheap. The competition is out there and tour operators are doing what they can to bring prices down and offer us the best deals, to try and entice us into the Christmas holidays they have available. However what is it in particular that has made these holidays so popular, that people are trying to buy them, left, right and centre.

The whole world is warming up, and not many people like the snow anyway. Snow can be great for some fun times, but not for the warmth. As for how Christmas should be spent now, people just want that nice sandy warm beach and warm weather. The best option now is to take the family on holiday, this is a great present. Not many people will complain, and its easier to arrange than a Christmas at home.

So what are you doing this Christmas, maybe instead of Caribbean holidays, you could try Maldives holidays or Dubai holidays, they are still just as warm, and not too mention just as luxurious.

Why would more people go on holiday to disaster zones?

General Talk About Vacations

Although the title here is quite misleading, it is also quite true. Holidays to Samoa and Australia have gone up a substantial amount, and considering the time of year this is a big thing. But is it really that people want to go on holiday to these places. Are these people going to see if people they know are OK, or just trying to help out in some way.

People have been booking Hotels and Flights to Samoa in order to check on others that have been holiday to the same location. Also there are those that are even taking time off work t travel to Samoa to see if they can help with rebuilding or just helping the people who have been stranded by the tsunami.

This has happened in other areas of the world as well, not just the Samoa disaster. When the Indian Ocean Tsunami happened and went out of control holidays to this area went through the roof. Sri Lanka holidays went up because of the help that was needed, and although the Maldives is still a very difficult place to get to in these times (because it is a mass of islands and islets) it still received a lot of tourism / help.

So even when there is a natural disaster, people still want to go to these destinations. The disaster around the world, I thought would put people off going on holidays, but there seems to be an opposite effect. Do people still want to go to these places, even once there has been a natural disaster? When you look at the sales for holidays to these places, they don’t drop as much as you might think. People even still try to get a Luxury hotel to stay in, and they get some good prices.

People are amazing creatures, to actually want to go on holidays to these places is an interesting decision. But for those that go on Sri Lanka holidays, Maldives holidays and Christmas holidays to help out others, then good luck to them.

Christmas holidays, they are booked much more in advance than your normal holiday!

General Talk About Vacations

If we could all see the bookings of Christmas holidays, you would easily find that these holidays are being booked much earlier on in the year. The great thing about Summer holidays, is that last minute bookings can be quite fun.

This however is not all that successful with Christmas holidays. You can’t just decide a few days before Christmas that you want to go on holiday, these things need to be planned! Going abroad requires some planning anyway, but taking the family means that you have to take every-one’s needs into account. You need to take into account all the family, and all the presents that you have bought, you can’t take them with you, or can you, there is a lot to think about?

These issues are the main reasons why booking a holiday last minute for Christmas won’t work. Booking a summer holiday is so much easier last minute. Make sure that you can get the time off work, and then check the house, and your on your way. Some tour operators have offered some extremely cheap luxury deals for all to try, this means that holidays can be booked so easily before hand.

If you look for a holiday around Christmas time, you will be hard pressed to find one. Booking a last minute holiday around Christmas could be very difficult, in fact a lot of places will be sold out already, although some are definitely trying to gain some extra flights and seats for families to purchase some holidays. Finding a seat on a flight, for your Christmas holiday is very difficult, that is one reason why last minute holidays aren’t always appropriate!

Luxury holidays and Winter holidays are the best way to spend your Christmas?
