Why Nile River Cruises Are Unique Experiences

Other Family Vacation Options

I’ve been lucky enough to travel in many different continents and countries throughout my life. Having experienced great moments of awe and admiration towards the nature’s miracles. From the high altitudes of the Peruvian mountains to the vast Amazon forest and from the glaciers of Patagonia to Morroco’s old clay towns there are so many memories and emotions to recall.

When it comes to choosing one of all those moments, I would definitely recall my time in the river Nile as the most electrifying one. It’s not easy to explain the reasons for such a choice but I guess it has to do with the incredible energy that Nile transmits. I had never considered river cruises as I couldn’t see any point having a cruise in a river.

Being a typical sea-born person I wouldn’t expect to feel so good anywhere far from the sea. Although I had spent some years of my life living in Budapest and Prague that were built in the Danube’s banks, I was never amazed by any river until that day.

So, it was during the time I was in Egypt when a good friend of mine came across various cruise deals and managed to make inhibitions go away and try one. According to his beliefs, for some of the greatest experiences in life there is only one chance which should not be missed. There are so many agencies selling Nile River Cruises at Aswan that buying one didn’t take us more than 10-15 minutes.

And what an experience it was, travelling in the mighty river Nile. Because of its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea there is a similar atmosphere. Just the thought that we were traversing the world’s longest river made me shiver and think of how many people’s lives were depending on that river which stretches all the way from Egypt to Ethiopia. So intense was the experience I had that it makes no wonder why ancient Egyptians worship had the Nile at its center.

Are you finding it hard to find a perfect holiday?

General Talk About Vacations

Deciding on a country to visit can be easy when preparing for a holiday. The country bit is easy, it’s when you get to a smaller location you need to really think about it? How about I give you a couple of the best destinations in the world, and they just so happen to be in the same country! These two locations in Egypt are relatively close to each other, but we will start with the one further north.

Sharm El Sheikh is a grand awe inspiring country, built for royalty. This is a great place to travel to, not to mention one of the most luxurious places in the world in terms of accommodation. Diving in Sharm offers any diver a great experience, from swimming with wildlife to wreck diving. Don’t like camels or horses, then no need to worry, you can borrow a Quad Bike for travelling cross country! Sharm El Sheikh is one of the biggest cities in Egypt, and it isn’t short on what it can offer, because of it’s position in Egypt, it is easy to access other places like Cairo. This is where the Sphinx is and you can travel to the Pyramids as well. Visiting St Catherine’s Monostery is a must, and is a gorgeous sight. Because of this buildings importance in the religious world, it is highly regarded and visited very often.

This next wonderful location is south of Sharm El Sheikh, but next to the red sea, this is Hurghada. Hurghada is great for those that just want to go free diving or snorkeling, the corals and wildlife can be seen from the surface. If you still want to enjoy the underwater world and see all of the coral and wildlife, but don’t want to get wet, then you can always hitch a ride on one of the Glass Bottom boats that are around. You can even travel out on safari here as well. Tour Operators in Hurghada also give people the opportunity to go out into the desert on Jeeps and other sand buggies. It also gives you the chance to travel to villages like Bedduin, which are situated in the middle of the desert, and you can see how they live in this harsh climate.

So Egypt holidays sound good now, or there is always Sharm El Sheikh holidays, or now if you really don’t fancy either of these and just want to forget about work, maybe you should try Maldives holidays!

Which drink is the most popular in the world?

General Talk About Vacations

Many people argue about which drinks are the best and the most popular in the world. Beer is by far the biggest selling alcoholic drink the world, no doubt about it, it’s not wine! So now that I have cleared up that the Beer is the king of all the alcoholic drinks, why don’t we all just sit down and look at what the popular drinks are in different countries, I have picked some randoms. So let’s start somewhere random then move onto some larger places:

Cuba is the place of cocktails. The Cuban cocktail country, is ready to divulge to you one of its most amazing drinks, that we all love called the Cuba Libre. Cuba Libre, this is a very easy and quick drink to make up, with only three ingredients, mainly Rum and coke, with a slice of lime. People really do seem to like this simple and easy to prepare drink. There is also the Mojito, loved by many tourists, but also all over the world.

Egypt, this is our next stop. Egypt is obviously much larger than Cuba, and many more holiday makers head here. Holiday Makers, just can’t resist Stella in Egypt. And for everyone reading this, no it’s not the traditional Stella Artois. It is in fact a beer with a 4.5%abv which is quite high for a gentle tasting beer. It is actually owned by Heineken and is brewed in a brewery called Alaham Beverages.

America is the big one. Anything that comes to mind? Probably not what you would presume, but the fastest selling beer is a Budweiser beer, but not Bud. Its Budweiser light. This is the alcoholic drink that is great for one and only one reason, that it doesn’t get you drunk very quickly. In the United States the beer, Bud is the second biggest seller, whereas its smaller version is the larger seller.

So are you seeking for Egypt holidays, Cuba holidays or how about something a little more unique like Maldives holidays, where you can invent your own maybe more experimental cocktail?
